​Flamant, the Belgian interiors specialist, has been taken over by BESIX Group. Flamant is in Belgium and abroad famous for its interior decoration and – concepts. It was established in 1978 and is an official royal warrant holder since 2007. It has six of its own stores (Flamant Knokke, Sint-Martens-Latem, Sint-Genesius-Rode, Antwerp, Brussels), including one in Paris. Its products are also available in more than 200 stores worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Sales Assistant who can speak Dutch and French, to join our team. This role reports to the Store Manager.

The ideal candidate will provide the highest level of customer service at all times. As Sales Assistant you will contribute in achieving the sales targets of the store; in-store training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Make sure clients have a high level shopping experience at all times. 
• Establish positive customer relationships including welcoming customers, present new products and try to developing customer loyalty.
• Transfer the values of the brand in terms and share product knowledge to clients. You are familiar with the entire collection (materials, colors, prices).
• Make commercial suggestions at your customers by presenting alternatives, complementary articles and supplementary articles.
• Check orders for conditions (delivery times, packing method, ...)
• Cash register processing (sale, closing of a sale, packaging, ...)
• Control the IT/cashier system; follow-up of sales files, guide clients from order to after-sales service.
• Provide Interior Coaching; providing color and déco advice for clients (possibly at their home-address)
• Personally adhere at all times to the dress code, grooming guidelines and high standards of personal presentation detailed within the brand.
• Ensure that the store, stock and staff areas, are tidy at all times and that products sold are replaced neatly and promptly.
• Hands-on mentality: unpacking, arranging new arrivals and re-arranging furniture, re-decorating in cooperation with the decorator and store manager.
• Conduct regular stock level checks and assist with the management of any display or maintenance requirements.

• You have a number of years of sales experience and are passionate about decoration and luxury goods.
• Knowledge of Navision
• You are able to advise and guide demanding customers.
• You are a hard worker, dynamic, flexible, versatile and very customer-oriented.
• You are prepared to work evening, weekends and holidays.
• You are bilingual Dutch / French. Knowledge of German is a plus.
