Job Description
Your tasks as Planning Engineer:
You will have a key position in project and resource management for the company. You will be collaborating closely with the project managers to produce, maintain and update the project schedules and with the Business Unit Managers (resource managers) to help them assign the right resources to the right projects. You will deliver insight that will help both project team and resource managers to take decisions.
• You will create and maintain project schedules in collaboration with project managers;
• You will analyze the interfaces between different projects;
• You will participate to resource planning meetings in order to help resource managers to decide which resource can be assigned to which project based on capacity;
• You will optimize the overall capacity planning for both labor resources and equipment
• You will collect daily progress and update all projects in the company based on the progress given by the project team;
• You will plan the sales pipeline on a higher level in order to give resource managers an overview on upcoming capacity vs demand;
• You will be the key user for project management software packages.
Qualifications
You have a master degree (e.g. industrial or civil engineer);
o You have an affinity with both technique and management;
o You have a proven experience (min. 5 years) in a project-based organization;
o You are fluent in Dutch and French;
o You have a very good knowledge of IT tools (knowledge of Primavera is an asset);
o You are analytical, independent and a good communicator.
