​Flamant, the Belgian interiors specialist, has been taken over by BESIX Group. Flamant is in Belgium and abroad famous for its interior decoration and – concepts. It was established in 1978 and is an official royal warrant holder since 2007. It has six of its own stores (Flamant Knokke, Sint-Martens-Latem, Sint-Genesius-Rode, Antwerp, Brussels), including one in Paris. Its products are also available in more than 200 stores worldwide.

Functieomschrijving

As International Sales Manager you have full P&L responsibility for all accounts. You are accountable for inspiring, leading and driving the sales teams, resulting in a seamless brand experience for all customers  across the different channels. You will report into the Chief Operations Officer.

Sales and Retail Strategy 

  • Develop and communicate a compelling and inspiring retail concept/vision within the global brand vision, that will drive teams to deliver their best to exceed business objectives. (Across own stores, franchising stores and e-commerce). 
  • Develop the sales strategy: visual merchandising, product assortment, allocation, design and layout of stores/online, marketing/promotions.
  • You will develop an expansion plan to grow turnover by opening new own stores and by opening new stores in collaboration with international business partners.
  • Establish a solid sales organization, where you will manage and motivate the employees in the six existing stores and the employees of the separate wholesale team. 
  • Monitor overall profitability of the retail chain to grow within budgeted cost parameters.

Business & Financials

  • Accountable for leading, developing and driving plans, actions and decisions that deliver sales, margin and profit growth for the brand.
  • Lead the teams to evolve productivity through accelerating top line growth, improving gross margins, managing expenses and building efficiencies in central support costs.

People Manager

  • Build and foster effective and healthy relationships with direct reports and business partners that results in confidence, morale and spirit within the team.
  • Role model people leadership and development via coaching; provide guidance to direct reports on business goals and development plans.

Functie-eisen

  • Must have a minimum of 5-10 years' experience in preferably furniture or fashion multi-site retail operations– preferable have experience with and understanding of lifestyle consumers.
  • Proven track in people management within a bigger retail organization.
  • Language skills: fluent in Dutch, French and English.
  • The most important competency is leading and inspiring a strong consumer centric, results driven retail/wholesale team and driving this thinking throughout the organization.
  • Strong operational decision making skills and able to build strong strategic work relationships with external parties.
  • Constant innovative and creative mindset in order to be ahead of the industry changes.
