Job Description
As a Human Resource Generalist your position at BMI is strategic and transactional. The right candidate must be able to support management through sound Human Resource Practices and hands on know-how.
- Conduct full life-cycle recruitment, including development of sourcing strategies, passive candidate outreach and active referral.
- Maintain accurate and timely candidate records in the company’s applicant tracking system and provide reports for assignments as required.
- Conduct and coordinate new employee on-boarding and orientation. Work with leadership to coordinate efforts and ensure staff is first day ready.
- Lead talent management programs including performance appraisals, individual development plans, and succession planning. Assist in facilitation of a variety of HR-related training.
- Work closely with leadership to assess risk and provide HR expertise and guidance with respect to effective undertaking of employment actions including but not limited to hiring, discipline, leave, promotion, investigation and termination.
- Oversee all Employee Relations issues to include: investigations, documentation, preparations and responses for arbitration and/or Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Charges. Work with outside legal counsel as applicable.
- Build effective relationships with team leaders to understand their business goals and to proactively identify and implement solutions that align with organizational strategies.
- Maintain effective labor relations with union and management leadership
- Credential Doctors as required by AAAHC and Joint Commission requirements.
- Ensure employee personnel records are maintained and updated according to company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- 1 to 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist
- 1 to 2 years of experience in medical practice preferred
- Experience with Doctor Credentialing process preferred
- SHRM-CP / PHR certification preferred but not required
Solid knowledge of current employment laws and regulations; understanding of basic principles of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and benefits. - Excellent communication skills written and oral
- Ability to build strong relationships across different departments and levels of management
