Job Description

At Beraja Medical Institute our Call Center Representative's  primary responsibility is to schedule appointments for Beraja Medical Institute patients . The Call Center Representative's time will be spent approximately at 60% receiving inbound calls, and 40% making outbound calls to patients. As a Call Center Representative it is critical to demonstrate compassion while clearly articulating appropriate script-based questions to patients, as well as maintaining a professional attitude when working with other professionals involved in the coordination of patient care and services. 

Call Center Representative's are also responsible for: 

  • Scheduling patient appointments and also making outbound calls to follow-up with patients
  • Answers questions and resolves issues based on phone calls 
  • Obtains and verifies necessary demographic and insurance information
  • Registers patients and enters data into scheduling systems
  • Maintains and updates patient records, and enters information into required accounts and relevant systems 
  • Serves patients by greeting and helping them when issues arises during their appointment scheduling 
  • The right candidate must be able to work flexible hours Monday-Friday

Call Center Representative's are the first person our patients speak with so the right candidate must  have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Excellent  customer service skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer services skills
  • Is a professional that is  organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task
  • Is solutions oriented and has strong problem solving skills 
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology is a plus 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Scheduling System
  • Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards
  • Ability to multi-task to accomplish workload efficiently
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team environment
  • Is a self-motivated and goal oriented professional 

Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish Required 
  • Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year in Call-Center position or 1 solid year of customer service experience 
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Customer Service setting
  • The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent experience
  • Experience with high volume calls inbound and outbound 
  • Solid experience working in a team environment driven by metrics and goals  
  • Solid experience in a fast paced busy call center environment
  • Previous experience with insurance verification ,benefits and authorization a plus
  • Must be able to work evenings twice a week and 1 Saturday a month
