  • Coordinate & Escalate suggested remedial action to Shift In Charge Control Engineer.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external procedures, documents, regulatory and legal requirements.

Job Description

DUTIES:

  • Monitor & Control 400 kV grid voltage, frequency and power flows, ensure compliance with the regulations

  • Coordinate with the member states for the control of the generation spinning and non-spinning reserve as agreed and allocated for each country

  • Ensure that power trading is meeting schedules and regulations and coordinate with trading department

  • Define remedial action in case of error (Alarm) and escalates to Shift In Charge Control Engineer

  • Consolidate data, Transmission reports, generate reports and present to Shift In Charge Control EngineerEnsure 100% compliance with agreed operational policies and procedures

  • Ensure the correct implementation of the system outages, to involve co-ordination between internal and external parties

  •  Use all new facilities for proper monitoring & control power system i.e. WAMS, DFR & CCTV etc.

  • Monitor and control the operation of the interconnected system via SCADA computer during normal operating conditions.

  • Work in close conjunction with and under direction of the Power Shift In Charge Control Engineer

  • Review and implement step-by-step switching programs for the switching operations.

  • Notify Transmission field personnel of the step-by-step switching and tagging of devices for the more routine pre-arranged switching operations

  • Issue and cancel the Safety Documents for transmission equipment and maintain the record

  • Prepare the switching sequence for any emergency outage and present to Shift In Charge Control Engineer for review.

  • Prepare the Daily Power System Report and present to Shift In Charge Control Engineer for review.

  • Maintain a narrative log of all events occurring with his assigned functional area and data tabulations, etc. as directed.

  • Adherence to the code of conduct

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science with a specialization in Electrical Engineering

  • Training in Power System Control for winter and summer
