CoinMarketCap is looking for a dynamic Public Relations and Communications Manager to join our team. This is a full-time remote position reporting to the Global Marketing function. This individual who fills the position will be pivotal in increasing public awareness of CoinMarketCap, enhancing our company image, and managing communications effectively during crises. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in public relations, media relations, and communications within the technology or blockchain sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PR and communications strategies to grow CMC’s share of voice 
• Proactive media outreach and pitching for top-tier conference keynotes, media interviews, commentaries, and securing coverage for announcements
• Create PR campaigns that amplify CMC messages and aligns with industry trends
• Establish and maintain relationships with global and regional Tier 1 media outlets
• Support global and local PR and marketing activities
• Lead proactive storytelling, pitches, and campaigns to secure positive media placements, focusing on CMC’s story, mission, and vision
• Provide comprehensive communications support for all online and offline events, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presentation
• Active media monitoring and handling of crisis communication strategies
• Support and advise on all brand partnership opportunities and activations, ensuring alignment with CMC’s communication goals
• Analyze and report on PR coverage and outcomes
• Help plan and execute CoinMarketCap events to ensure maximum press impact

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
• 7+ years experience in Public Relations, preferably with at least 2+ years working directly in the crypto or blockchain industry
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing PR and communications strategies
• A strong network of media contacts and proven ability to build relationships with Tier 1 media outlets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage crises and respond to media inquiries effectively
• Experience in supporting brand partnerships and activations
• Creative thinker with a strategic mindset
• Works well in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize and work well under pressure
