As a Director of Revenue Operations, you will be leading the Revenue Accounting and Operations team. You will be building and leading our revenue function's day-to-day accounting and operations. Your primary responsibilities will be to oversee all core revenue processing aspects, including the order to cash operations, new customer setup, subscription management, invoicing, and collections. You will also manage and help with the growth of our order management and collections teams in Bangalore, India. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in an established revenue function in a subscription (SaaS) business and be able to work seamlessly with cross-functional partners in a hyper-growth environment.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the Revenue Operations team responsible for billing operations, monthly close procedures, and collections
  • Build and scale our order-to-cash process with a focus on systems and automation to enable continued growth.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Sales Operations, and CS teams on all aspects of revenue, including non-standard contract terms and billing arrangements
  • Work cross-functionally with various business owners to drive process improvements and automation into the order to cash processes, bringing best in class practices and creative solutions to accounting operations, including overseeing a system transition to Zuora
  • Implement and establish an ongoing credit and collections process
  • Make appropriate changes to address any issues or trends after reviewing with management
  • Manage and participate in ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Serve as the supervisor of order management and accounts receivable staff located in Bangalore, India
  • Grow a team of expert representatives developing talent internally, mentor, guide, and provide oversight assistance to the team
  • Work with the Accounting team to ensure compliance with revenue recognition.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the team
  • Partner with the finance team to assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines and laws
  • Establish strong working relationships between each sales team and OM team

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of SaaS revenue accounting, OM, and/or collections experience
  • 6+ years of people management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Prior experience with building and scaling a full revenue function
  • Experience with Zuora and Salesforce, as well as general system implementations a plus
  • Experience managing an overseas team
  • Strong knowledge of SaaS revenue accounting and transaction processing, order processing, and collections
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Comfortable performing workflow analysis assessments
  • Process improvement mindset
