Axel Springer National Media & Tech is responsible for over 60 products from more than 25 brands and some of Europe's largest news sites, including bild.de and welt.de. Together, these sites attract more than 1 million digital subscribers.
Customer Intelligence is a team of data scientists and data engineers who help BILD and WELT understand what drives their subscriber growth and build the technology to improve their marketing and customer relationship management accordingly. We work closely with BILD and WELT's marketing and product teams, collaborating with Customer Relationship Management, Insights & Analytics, Customer Acquisition, and others to help maximize future subscription revenue.

Job Description

- you join our team to improve the growth of our subscriber base through optimized acquisition, retention and winback
- you build and maintain data sets and robust pipelines to feed our dashboards and algorithms
- you validate your ideas by analyzing historical data
- you implement models and conduct analyses to find out how to use our data in the best way
- you help us to answer all questions about our customers and their interests
- you are a teacher and learner from everyone in the organization
Qualifications
solution-oriented team player with a passion for data & innovation
- you are a Masters student in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or related who likes to make sense out of huge amounts of data
- you know how to use Python and/or R and the libraries for data manipulation and machine learning
- you have an understanding of statistics, econometrics and common machine learning algorithms
- you are a creative problem solver and a reliable teamplayer
- you have the ability to visualize and articulate complex issues and can communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues
- it is natural for you to work in an agile environment
- you are fluent in English and have at least B1 level in German
