Job Description

The Level II Consultant is a member of the service team, reports to the service manager and is responsible for delivering highly efficient and quality technical services to our clients on a daily basis. This individual needs to work very closely with both internal management and Client Management and must be able to communicate comfortably in those situations. Must be very organized, self-motivated, excited by new technology and delivering new solutions to clients. Must be able to document  processes and solutions.

 

This position requires local travel between client sites on a daily basis. When not at client site, work can be performed remotely from home or office. Mileage is reimbursed.

 

The pace and demands in this environment are usually much greater than “In-house” position. This person should be prompt and/or know the importance of communicating ETA’s to clients.

This person should be skillful at pre-project work/work briefings with each client on each project. Be able to execute with high degree of success in integrating and/or solving problems in environments rich in Windows Server, Exchange IIS, Cisco Internetworking, VPN’s, Firewalls, backup system and more. The more truly capable the consultant in all these areas, the higher the utility value.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and abilities

 

 

  • Experience required with Windows desktop operating systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and troubleshooting internet connectivity
  • Experience with routers and firewalls
  • Experience with Terminal Services & Citrix
  • Understanding of relationship between switches, hubs, patch panels and

      connecting nodes to a network

  • Understanding of DNS services
  • Working knowledge of Non Cisco firewall technologies- SonicWall,Linksys, Netgear
  • Working knowledge of Wireless technologies

 

 

Credentials and Experience

 

  • Two to four years’ experience
  •  Minimum 2 years’ experience-VLAN, Routing Firewalling support
    •  Minimum 2 years- Mobile messaging technologies (Blackberry Enterprise and/or

    active Sync support

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience- Server Hardware Technologies (CPU/RAID/SCSI support
  • Minimum 2 years – Data backup and recovery support, Corporate Antivirus support, VPN connectivity support
    • Consistently bills 3-X W2
    • Has at least one certification. The following certifications are preferred- MCSE,

CNA/CCDA Project+ Network+, A+

  • Solid dependable consultant, follows directions and maximizes billing opportunities
  • Consistently receives good client feedback
