Job Description
Responsibilities and specific technical competencies
o Act as a technical interface with client for document preparation
o Act as technical point of contact for scopes of work within the project
o Report to Installation Department outcome of meetings and technical discussions
o Critically evaluates technical and contractual information
o Analyses and understands customer technical challenges
o Development of technical design solutions against client scope of work.
o Fully grasps all engineering challenges and effectively utilizes engineering tools and techniques to overcome challenges as they occur.
o Develops technical procedures associated with installing cables in the offshore marine environment.
o Ensures that the engineering technical solution provision is best in class and effective in respect to cost, quality and Safety.
Engineering including preparation of method statements for the following activities:
o Cable burial risk assessment (CBRA)
o Route Engineering,
o Burial assessment study (BAS)
o Survey works,
o Cable installation works,
o Pre-sweeping/ dredging works,
o Mattressing installation works,
o Rock placement (rock dumping)
o Trenching works,
o Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation
Preparation of RAMS, ITP (inspection test plan), DPR (Daily Progress Report), HAZID, HAZOP, HSE and Quality documentation, construction drawing, calculation.
Preparation of operational procedure for:
o Survey works,
o Cable installation works,
o Pre-sweeping/ dredging works,
o Mattressing installation works,
o Rock placement (rock dumping)
o Trenching works,
o Cable pull-in at landfall and at offshore substation
Qualifications
HNC/HND or equivalent in technical Engineering subject
An advantage to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s
Degrees in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects
