Job Description

The Account Specialist works as an integral part of a sales team in driving initiatives to provide intelligent, creative, sustainable solutions to key retail and apparel accounts. This position supports Strategic Account Managers and Sales Managers by providing accurate and timely reports, spotting account trends, and sharing insights to partner with customers in moving the business forward. This role interfaces regularly with customers to provide information, answer questions, and ensure strong customer relations. Account Specialists implement and sustain internal account management processes and best practices. Your Responsibilities:

  • Support Strategic Account Manager in meeting and exceeding sales quota targets.
  • Act as an integral part of a customer-facing account team, understanding the customer’s business model, goals, interdependencies, and our role in enabling customer success.
  • Establish partnerships with key contacts within the customer account, utilizing relationships to identify, assess, and resolve customer needs.
  • Provide accurate, timely, customized global metric and data reporting to assist Strategic Account Manager in pursuing opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.
  • Analyze account trends (e.g. order histories, levels, etc.) and customer needs and apply insight in proactively identifying potential opportunities to drive additional sales.
  • Work closely with internal departments to coordinate and remain up-to-date on the status of the development and sampling of new products.
  • Have regular contact with customers to answer questions, provide information, facilitate the issue resolution process, and fulfill customer requests.
  • Coordinate with global customer service and production locations when necessary to facilitate on-time shipments, delivery dates, and resolve post-receipt issues (quality, quantity, etc.)
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of on the retail/apparel market trends, new product offerings, technological advances, and competitive intelligence. Apply insights to growing sales within account.
  • Identify insightful ways to make account management process most efficient by implementing best practices, reducing administrative tasks, and proactively addressing anticipated account needs.
  • Assist in the development of presentations to be delivered to key customer and/or internal stakeholders in developing new items, expanding product lines, and launching new solutions.


Qualifications

What we will be looking for in you: 

Essential: 

  • Must be strong at analyzing and interpreting complex data sets 
  • Outstanding internal and external communication and customer service required Preferred: 
  • Previous experience in the retail apparel industry strongly preferred 
  • Recent college graduates desiring to pursue professional-level sales and/or marketing opportunities strongly encouraged to apply 

Education: 

  • BS/BA required, majors in business management, marketing, or graphic arts strongly preferred
