Job Description

The Embelex Division of the Aftermarket Apparel Solutions Group will hire an Ink Technician for our Miamisburg Production Operations. The primary role of the Ink Technician is to mix ink for printing operations. The Ink Technician will cross train to support in other operational areas as needed (shipping, receiving, machine operation and maintenance).   

Role and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Mix ink
  • Color library management
  • WIP inventory management
  • Escalation process
  • Maintain production process efficiency through good preparation and priority management
  • Seek new methods to improve quality and eliminate waste
  • 5S
  • Provide support in projects, special requests and other operation areas
  • Adhere to special color matching standards 
  • Move, inventory and store a variety of materials, parts or products 
  • Check incoming materials and report out of date stock

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in Screen Printing Press and/or any graphic arts printing press preferred
  • Maintenance and TPM experience is preferred
  • 0-2 year’s previous production experience
  • Must have excellent ability to troubleshoot problems and resolve timely
  • Must possess or acquire certifications within specified timing in order to perform the job
  • Ability to learn multiple functions within the facility
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment 
  • Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical aptitude and logical problem solving skills necessary
  • Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner
  • Must be motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness
  • Certification in hazardous materials training is a plus
  • Must have basic computer skills, capability to organize and multi-task, and work under pressure
  • First shift but requires flexibility during peak production times
