Job Description

Reporting into the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operations teams across three shifts while delivering daily operational goals including safety, quality, customer service, cost reduction, productivity, and waste reduction. The Operations Manager provides leadership to all operational front-line managers and collaborates with the leadership team to deliver business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

This is an on-site role based in Miamisburg, OH.

  • Ensure a healthy and safe working environment through consistent practice of safety programs, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

  • Drive continuous improvements in quality, cost reduction, productivity, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction through effective planning and technology utilization.

  • Review, analyze, and improve the efficiency of existing operational processes to enhance internal capacity, business alignment, and performance accountability.

  • Nurture a culture of engagement and employee development, maintaining departmental bench strength and proactively working to retain top talent.

  • Assist with annual budget preparation, schedule expenditures, analyze variances, monitor labor requirements, and support improved metric reporting and cross-functional tool enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of proven success in an operations management role; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.

  • Strong business acumen including budget development, capital investment, expenditure scheduling, and variance analysis.

  • Comprehensive understanding of safety, quality, GMP, and housekeeping requirements within a manufacturing environment.

  • Fluency in ERP systems with an aptitude for learning new applications and applying an analytical approach to problem-solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, resolve conflict, delegate responsibilities, and manage teams through change and rapid growth.
