Job Description

About the role The Product Development Specialist manages and executes the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from local item development and sample approval to pricing and continuous improvement. This role ensures timely, cost-effective development methods and high accuracy across internal systems and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work model: On-site / Hybrid as required.

  • Drive the smooth development of items for local supply and identify feasible, cost-effective development methods.

  • Provide on-time estimates leveraging optimal production capabilities and initiate product re-engineering.

  • Drive development speed improvements through the Enterprise Lean System (ELS) approach.

  • Manage counter sample approvals, RBO updates circulation, and resolve product development queries.

  • Develop new products and expand customer opportunities while assisting in product pricing.

  • Take ownership of assigned accounts, proactively following through with overseas Hubs and internal teams.

  • Ensure all customer queries are resolved within stipulated timeframes or escalated appropriately.

  • Adhere to quality standards, processing developments and Oracle updates with at least 99% accuracy.

  • Gather business requirements and conduct analysis for continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Qualifications

Education :  Graduation in Textile and Printing background

  • Proven experience in product development, item setup, and sample management.

  • Strong knowledge of product costing, pricing, and re-engineering principles.

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Lean System (ELS) or continuous improvement methodologies.

  • High proficiency in database systems (Oracle) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external account management.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, prioritize client requirements, and meet strict SLAs.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional team collaboration skills.

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining 99%+ accuracy in documentation.
