Job Description
As the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, you will directly supervise operations teams in attaining production, safety, quality, service, productivity, cost reduction, and other department goals. You will supervise the activities of associates in the Service Bureau production department, oversee equipment functionality and maintenance, and manage accurate inventory of materials to ensure production needs are met. You will provide coaching and feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet standards while promoting a safe and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities
This position is located on-site at our La Vergne, TN facility.
Direct and supervise Service Bureau associates and Lead(s) during the 2nd shift, including recruiting, training, developing team members, assigning workloads, and conducting performance reviews.
Oversee all Service Bureau equipment functionality, upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production workflows.
Manage material inventory and warehouse workflow records in the ERP system, maintaining accurate entries, coordinating cycle counts, and resolving discrepancies.
Coordinate daily production schedules and workflows across departments, ensuring high quality in printing, laminating, and shipping while double-checking shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area by enforcing company safety policies, championing continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing procedural enhancements.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of related experience in the production/printing industry and at least 3 years of previous supervisory experience required.
Demonstrated proficiency with ERP software systems along with intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and resolve conflicts within a team environment.
Solid working knowledge of safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality control standards, and continuous improvement processes in manufacturing.
