Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

The Planning Manager manages activities of those engaged in the movement of raw or finished materials, storage, production scheduling, and inventory control activities. The incumbent will be expected to coordinate the whole supply chain planning and production planning workflow in the respective product line(s) including sale and operations plans (inventory planning, capacity planning including out-sourcing strategy) and facilitate the actual implementation with the operations teams; and assist the benchmarking and sharing best practices in the Regional/Global operations network’s in order to continuously improving the capability of the business. The incumbent will also be recognized for supply chain planning knowledge, deep understanding of the whole business process and ability to interface with team members and business partners.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

- Be accountable for Department performance control included material planning, demand planning and production planning overall for designed production line
- Developing and implementing strategies for Planning Department to follow Corperate Business Strategy
- Coordinate with all the business functions ( Sales, Customer Service, Product Development, Production, Warehouse, Finance...) to ensure the excellent Service and Cost Control
- Working closely with Global Supply Chain team to update forecast demand, head up issue, alert service and backlog if any follow SOP requirements.
- Coordinating with inventory team to monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels
- Take part in the Management Strategies contribution throughout Monthly/ Quarterly Management meeting, cross-function project...
- Continuously monitor and check actual performance of the designated product line vs. objectives via weekly/monthly report, prepares gap analysis and corrective action
- Develop and execute appropriate business plans/multi-generation SML plans to identify trends, opportunities for marketplace advantage and new ideas for products, processes and services. Direct SML activities
- Maintain and upgrading Planning automation system and road map to follow Manufacturing 4.0
- Set up, monitor and control team performance included but not limited as task completion, KPI target , daily /weekly/monhtly activities of team member
- Operate under delegated powers to sign off planning approvals within approved policy, providing appropriate advice, oversight, and challenge to development control Supervisor/Team Leaders and Team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. 5+ years SML or related experience, with 3+ years supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Project lead experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of modern manufacturing, material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS, continuous flow, cellular etc.) and the ability to integrate those into the operation.
• Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills in strategy, communication at all levels and execution.
• Strong leadership skills. Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organization
• Excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills, with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely, concise manner.
• Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office and function specific software.
