Job Description
Are you mechanically inclined and driven by performance? We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to own the daily operation, setups, and troubleshooting of our high-volume coating line equipment. In this role as a Coating Technician, you will take full accountability for manufacturing high-quality products, maximizing machine throughput, and guiding your line team to meet site production goals.
Shift: D Team, 7p-7a, 2-2-3
Starting Pay: $27.54/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation & Setup: Safely lead machinery setups, process changeovers, and program production sequences according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Quality Control & Monitoring: Continually monitor gauges, meters, temperatures, and flow ratios. Test product characteristics using standard measuring devices to deliver high-quality work.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Use your mechanical aptitude to investigate malfunctions, identify root causes, and perform preventative maintenance.
Team Collaboration: Lead shift turnovers, communicate priorities via daily tracking boards, and train team members.
Safety & Continuous Improvement: Maintain a clean, 5S-compliant workspace. Adhere strictly to all environmental, health, and safety protocols (including required PPE).
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, technical curiosity, and proficiency with computer applications/ERP systems.
Physical Stamina: Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the shift.
Reliability: A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to work designated hours plus reasonable overtime (including weekends).
Preferred: 2+ years of skilled labor or machine operation experience.
