Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Business Partnering
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with Procurement, Production, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to control costs, improve overall asset efficiency, and drive factory performance.
- Drive Strategic Decisions: Support factory leadership with actionable financial insights for make-or-buy decisions, supplier negotiations, logistics optimization, and CAPEX investments (using NPV/IRR analysis).
- Shape the Future: Take a leading role in the annual strategic and operating planning processes.
Cost Control & Financial Operations
- Oversee Plant Finance: Manage manufacturing overhead budgeting, product line analysis, and regional benchmarking.
- Master Variance Analysis: Track and analyze actuals vs. budget for material costs (PPV, yield, usage, freight) and conversion costs (labor, overheads, utilities).
- Ensure Compliance & Control: Establish proper accounting for direct costs, oversee factory procurement controls, and manage Bill of Material (BOM) setups in Oracle.
Working Capital & Inventory Optimization
- Maximize Efficiency: Work alongside the SCM team to improve inventory turns, Days Inventory Outstanding (DIO), and overall working capital.
- Manage Risk: Direct inventory risk management, analyze reserves, manage GRN aging, and drive effective liquidation and scrap management strategies.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Performance Reporting: Prepare and present monthly business and operations reviews, highlighting key drivers and actionable insights.
- Standardize Metrics: Streamline reporting and establish standardized measurement tools for productivity, capex, and working capital to build consistency across all manufacturing sites.
- Monitor Incentives: Partner with Ops to monitor Operations MDIs and Operations Incentive Plans (OIP).
Qualifications
- At least 10 years’ experience in financial/ business analysis with CA, ACCA or CIMA is preferred.
- Post graduate degree preferably in Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent education.
