Job Description
ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
As the Supply Chain Excellence & S&OP Manager, you will be the strategic architect of our regional value chain. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role focused on synchronizing demand, supply, and capacity to ensure business agility. You will not only manage the rhythm of our S&OP cycles but also lead the charge in digitalization and end-to-end (E2E) efficiency transformation across the ASEAN region as well as managing the supply to the region.
The ideal candidate is a blend of a master planner, a data scientist, and a change agent.
You will be based in Bangi / Kajang, Malaysia.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
1. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Orchestrate the S&OP Process: Lead monthly regional S&OP meetings, facilitating alignment between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
Balance Ecosystems: Act as the primary point of contact to balance demand forecasts with supply capabilities and manufacturing capacity.
Scenario Planning: Develop "What-If" scenarios to mitigate risks and capitalize on market opportunities within the volatile ASEAN landscape.
2. Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) & Resource Validation
Demand Validation: Verify RCCP outputs against S&OP demand, ensuring high-accuracy inputs for forecast volumes, UEE, run rates, and planning coefficients.
Capacity Modeling: Analyze plant/DC constraints and production calendars to generate short-to-long-term capacity projections and identify bottlenecks.
Scenario Planning: Present Base/Upside/Downside scenarios to S&OP, recommending strategic actions like load shifting, campaign planning, and capacity flexing.
Operational Governance: Lead RCCP alignment meetings and track Actual vs. Plan performance to optimize utilization, inventory levels, and cost.
Digital Visibility: Maintain and enhance RCCP dashboards to provide real-time visibility into capacity loading and future risks.
3. Supply Chain Excellence & E2E Efficiency
Holistic Process Transformation: Identify structural bottlenecks across the E2E value chain (suppliers to final mile). Drive cost-out and efficiency initiatives using a diverse process improvement toolkits.
Performance Architecture: Design and govern a regional KPI framework focused on "North Star" metrics: Forecast Accuracy, Cost to Serve, Capacity Utilization, OTIF, and Inventory Turns.
Digitalization & Automation: Lead ASEAN digital roadmap. Partner closely with the Regional Supply Chain teams to automate manual workflows, ensuring seamless tool adoption and shifting the organization toward automated, data-led supply chain.
Inventory & Working Capital Optimization: Lead Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization (MEIO) to balance regional stock positioning. Dynamically manage safety stock and lead-time parameters to maximize service levels while minimizing tied-up capital.
Network Resilience & Agility: Standardize "Best Practice" operating models across ASEAN to enhance regional responsiveness. Leverage digital visibility and data-driven insights to mitigate disruptions, improve agility, and optimize the total Cost-to-Serve across the end-to-end network.
4. Supply Management
Process and master data: Uphold and oversee the governance of the purchase and supply process & master data across ASEAN
Purchase and inventory management execution: Lead and optimize the end-to-end execution of purchase and inventory replenishment cycles, ensuring optimal stock levels while maintaining service level
Distribution strategy: Formulate and execute comprehensive distribution strategies to ensure the achievement of a resilient and optimized distribution network
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Finance, and Operations to align supply strategies with business goals and manage relationships with external vendors to ensure service reliability
5. Other Responsibilities
Strategic Initiatives: Drive departmental goals by spearheading projects in standardization, digitalization, and process optimization to continuously elevate regional supply chain efficiency.
Agile Business Support: Execute high-priority tasks and specialized projects as assigned by leadership to address evolving business needs and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
Experience: Minimum of 8–15 years in Supply Chain Management, with at least 4 years specifically leading S&OP, Production Planning, or Supply Chain Excellence initiatives within a regional role or an equivalent complex supply chain setting.
Production Planning Expertise: Deep understanding of Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and shop-floor constraints; proven ability to bridge the gap between high-level regional demand and detailed factory execution.
Regional Scope: Proven track record of managing complex, multi-country operations, ideally within ASEAN.
Analytical Rigor: Advanced proficiency in data modeling and supply chain analytics tools.
Strategic Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to distill complex supply chain data into actionable insights for C-suite executives while maintaining strong influence with local operational teams.
Project Management: Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale transformation projects; proficient in managing timelines, cross-functional resources, and change management to deliver digitalization or process optimization goals.
Leadership: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive consensus across diverse regional functions (Sales, Finance, and Manufacturing).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., APICS CSCP/CPIM, PMP) is highly preferred.
