Job Description
Avery Dennison is looking for a Quality Assurance Lab Technician to be the guardian of our product integrity. If you have a "zero-defect" mindset, a passion for data, and an interest in how chemistry and mechanical testing ensure customer safety, we want to meet you.
Your Impact at Avery Dennison: In this role, you aren’t just running tests—you are ensuring the high-performance standards of our products. You will spend your day in a fast-paced lab environment, bridging the gap between raw production and final quality.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day):
Execute Critical Testing: Perform FTR testing to determine cyclone levels in products, alongside product age and warranty retesting.
Master the Lab Cycle: Pick up production samples, prepare them for rigorous analysis, and meticulously log results.
Drive Data Accuracy: Use your Excel proficiency to enter data into QIS and MFGPro, ensuring every batch meets ISO 9001 standards.
Coordinate Logistics: Manage the shipping of samples to 3rd party labs and keep our internal lab supplies stocked and organized.
Problem Solve: Assist the production floor in real-time when quality issues arise, using your technical knowledge to find solutions.
Qualifications
What You’ll Need (Must-Haves):
Technical Experience: Previous experience in a lab environment (R&D or QA) is required.
Precision Skills: Strong experience with precise measuring tools and a comfort level with repetitive, high-accuracy tasks.
Software Fluency: Intermediate Excel skills and general computer proficiency.
Education: High school diploma/GED (Required). New graduates with relevant degrees are encouraged to apply!
The "Soft" Fit: A "Team Before Self" attitude and a curiosity to learn complex technical processes.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
A 4-year degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
Experience with pressure-sensitive products or manufacturing processes.
Working Conditions & Schedule:
Environment: Professional Lab Environment.
Shift: 7AM-3PM, Monday-Friday
Pay: $30.25/hr
