Schedule that works for you

  • 12-hour shifts: 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
  • 2-2-3 rotation: work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days, then repeat
  • Every other weekend is a 3-day weekend
  • You work ~15 days per month instead of 20+ in a typical schedule

Job Description

As a Shipping Floater, you are the backbone of our warehouse flow, ensuring our products get where they need to go—on time and in perfect condition

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Arrange for freight pick-ups and communicate freight status to appropriate contacts.
  • Work with transportation group and outside carriers to ensure on-time delivery and meet customer expectations.
  • Ship and receive materials and equipment to support production and verify receipts in related computer systems (e.g. Oracle, MES, etc.).
  • Accurately generate and file all shipping documentations, including Bill of Lading, packing lists, customer sales orders, transfer orders, vendor shipment returns and parcel package documents.
  • Process, close and file receivers.
  • Move trailers in and out of dock doors with the yard dog
  • Scan and mark future deliveries with the handheld scanner and help sort them across the shipping floor
  • Load and unload trucks to inventory and racking, as applicable (e.g., bulk rolls, scrap, packaging materials, cores, end-boards, etc.).
  • Perform inventory audits to verify accuracy and achieve business goals.
  • Follow internal procedures for shipping all orders, stock and non-stock, ensuring to follow first in, first out (FIFO).
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain for same-day ship items.
  • Follow internal procedures for receiving orders into Oracle and ensuring the proper labeling of material.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials for damage, verify quantity and tag appropriately.
  • Attend daily improvement (MDI) meetings.
  • Responsible for all returns, managing the returns process from beginning to end.
  • Serve as back up Team Leader based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instruction.
  • Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures. 
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
  • Must be able to obtain Forklift Operator’s license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
