Job Description
SUMMARY:
This role serves as a critical financial business partner to the North American Operations leadership team, providing strategic oversight, comprehensive analysis, and guidance to drive operational efficiency and profitability across multiple organizational sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Finance Manager, the following responsibilities are essential for success:
Manage the annual operating plan (AOP), quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the Operations function.
Oversee the generation of Operations reporting to deliver actionable insights into performance, providing astute analysis of operating results, and identifying key trends, opportunities, and risks.
Consolidate, analyze, and present monthly financial commentary on performance to senior management.
Coordinate the Month End Flash process and assist in preparing the monthly/quarterly business reviews.
Manage operational expense control by analyzing variances (actual versus budget/forecast) and identifying opportunities for effective cost reduction.
Collaborate with operations leaders on Capital Expenditure (CapEx) proposals, including comprehensive justification, financial analysis, and tracking of project returns.
Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and operational scorecards.
Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
Ensure strict adherence to corporate financial policies, established procedures, and internal controls (e.g., SOX, Trade Compliance, External & Internal Audit).
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
3-5 years in operations finance
Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis – either at a Corporate, Divisional or Site level
Proven ability collaborating with and supporting Operations leadership
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and advanced Excel/Google Suite skills
Superior communication skills and ability to articulate business results & opportunities
Exceptional attention to detail and rigorous analytical ability
Fundamental intellectual curiosity and ability to anticipate the next question
Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, prioritize, and re-prioritize workload (for self and direct reports) effectively to meet deadlines within dynamic business conditions
Oracle/Oracle BI and consolidated financial system(s) experience preferred
