Production Team Manager

Job Description

The Production Team Manager for the Coating department directly leads operations teams in attaining production, safety, quality, service, productivity, cost reduction, and other department goals. They have responsibility for overseeing direct reports, providing coaching and feedback, and conducting performance evaluations. Individuals in this role provide clear direction, set performance standards, and facilitate professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • This is an on-site role.

  • Directly supervise the Coating operations teams in attaining production, safety, quality, service, productivity, cost reduction, and other department goals.

  • Oversee direct reports, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct performance evaluations to facilitate professional growth.

  • Manage production flows, staffing schedules, and department resourcing while ensuring best practices and standard operating procedures are followed.

  • Maintain quality control processes to ensure products meet quality standards and lead the implementation of process improvements.

  • Promote a safety-conscious culture, champion safety initiatives, and collaborate with other department leaders to continuously improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a production environment with a focus on Operational Metrics and Continuous Improvement.

  • Strong technical background with proficiency in Safety protocols and maintaining Quality Focused standards.

  • Excellent Verbal & Written Communication skills and the ability to make Sound Decisions under pressure.

  • Demonstrated ability to Coach, Mobilize, and Communicate & Motivate teams effectively.

  • Strong leadership skills to Drive Accountability & Results while fostering a sense of team and cultural competence.
