Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE:

This intern role sits within the Digital Innovation (DICE) APAC team. You will be at the heart of Avery Dennison’s AI transformation, bridging the gap between raw business data and cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs). Your role is pivotal in translating business pain points into functional AI solutions, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects—from data engineering to Agent development—across the Asia-Pacific region.

This internship offers both full-time (5 days per week) for a duration of 2-3 months or part-time (at least 3 days per week) options for a duration of 6 months.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Data Preprocessing: Assist in screening, cleaning, and processing business datasets (from Oracle, Google Sheets, etc.) to prepare them for AI model grounding.

  • LLM Pipeline Support: Support the team in maintaining the data flow between internal data sources and AI APIs, ensuring connectivity and efficient data retrieval for AI models.

  • AI Agent Prototyping Assistance: Participate in the development and prototyping of AI Agents using frameworks like Gemini Agent Designer or ADK/Vertex AI, contributing to building smarter business assistants.

  • Testing & Optimization Support: Collaborate with business units to assist in testing AI outputs, focusing on accuracy, hallucination control, and performance based on real-world scenarios.

  • AI Training Material Preparation: Help prepare technical demos, use case materials, and hands-on exercises for APAC-wide AI literacy sessions, workshops, and innovation showcases.

Stakeholder Engagement Assistance: Support manager in interacting with business stakeholders to understand their technical pain points and gather requirements, helping to translate them into technical specifications for AI implementations.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Foundational knowledge and/or coursework experience in data processing (Python, SQL, or basic data manipulation). Familiarity with APIs, LLM concepts, and Cloud platforms (like GCP/Vertex AI) is a plus.

  • Eagerness to develop the ability to handle complex data and derive logical structures for AI reasoning.

  • Commitment to high precision in data screening and testing to support the reliability of AI solutions.

  • A strong passion for Generative AI, a keenness to learn quickly in a fast-paced corporate innovation environment, and the resilience to take on new challenges.
