Production Planner

Job Description

The Production Planner ensures that Avery Dennison’s manufacturing facilities perform with optimally efficient production schedules while minimizing downtime and disruptions. This role involves forecasting production volumes, managing material usage, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer commitments and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site manufacturing role.

  • Create and manage production schedules based on demand and capacity to ensure all orders are produced and delivered on time.
  • Perform demand and supply planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and monitor material availability.
  • Collaborate closely with Production Managers and Purchasing to coordinate replenishment and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Track and improve productivity and service KPIs while identifying bottlenecks to drive continuous improvement.
  • Review and adjust schedules to accommodate shifts in priorities or to mitigate unexpected delays in the production process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or purchasing in manufacturing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and inventory management principles such as safety stock and lead times.
  • Proven analytical skills and the ability to manage stakeholders across production, procurement, and logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, and ideally conversational in Dutch.
