Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

  • The procurement lead is responsible for leading China procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enable spend owners such as business units and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from suppliers to meet their objectives.

  • Work with each business unit to lead centralized sourcing and procurement efforts.

  • Include working with the internal stakeholder from initial need identification to final goods or service delivery to meet stakeholder needs.

  • The process starts with demand management that then drives supply analysis/strategy, supplier identification, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, delivery planning and monitoring, purchase execution, and then ongoing performance management and improvement.

  • Deliver cost savings opportunities to the organization, and assist in developing commodity strategy.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WILL INCLUDE

  • Creation and management of short, mid, and long terms goals and objectives for all categories.

  • Creation and improvement of best practice based processes.

  • Management of procurement process related activities.

  • Identification and realization of cost-saving and cost reduction opportunities.

  • Management of procurement systems.

  • Management of procurement staff in and across sourcing, contracting, transactional purchasing, supplier management, and miscellaneous internal procurement support activities.

  • Analyze categories spent.

  • Manage and monitor Supplier Performance, solve issues with suppliers if any.

  • Develop and maintain supplier pools.

  • Analyze and understand the cost drivers associated with each category/supplier.

  • Benchmark current products across suppliers and identify consolidation opportunities.

  • Support on related projects if required.

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING IN FOR YOU

  • 5-7 years’ experience in procurement.

  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Team player at executive levels to collaborate with business units and functional partners.

  • In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.

  • Strong negotiation skill to use for large commercial deals.

  • Experience with modern sourcing and procurement systems.

  • Strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.

  • Full bi-lingual in English and Chinese and good communication skill.
