Job Description

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

  • Work as Global ELS function based in Nansha, China.
  • Identify improvement opportunities of Manufacturing within all ADS sites or across business units.
  • Identify and remove organizational barriers for continuous improvement process of the production and warehouse management in the sites.
  • Process standardization of Production, material flow and Logistics.
  • Drive site’s flow process improvement.
  • Drive sharing of best practices.
  • Use the Value Stream Map to measure progress.
  • Accountable for sustainable results.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Develop in-depth understanding of Lean Sigma philosophy and methods as demonstrated by successful training and certification in these areas.
  • Application of continuous improvement methodology (Just in time, Kanban, Lean, etc.).
  • Knowledge in ergonomics for workstations by understanding the Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Finance process in the floor as well as under the MES/ERP etc. system.
  • Train, educate, and mentor others in the organization on Lean/Sigma principles.
  • Track, record and analyze the productivity performance from the sites, the value stream improvement and state in the global level.
  • Building the ELS culture in the site as well as the global organization of Avery Dennison Smartrac.
  • Lead Global failure(or potential failure) analysis of processes of the inventory management, drive efforts on applying best practices across the sites.
  • Analyze and identify projects that can eliminate non-value added activities and can create value to our customers.
  • Drive to change the old business ways and to bring breakthrough improvements (Kaizen and Six Sigma projects).
  • Motivate others to accept process changes and take ownership.
  • Design the warehouse management system and lead the implementation.
  • Lead the system design of MES and Warehouse management etc.
  • Use the Value Stream Map to establish the baseline process and measure progress, track and record the value stream improvement and state on the global level.
  • Lead or support Industry 4.0 and other digitization initiatives.
  • Successfully initiate, lead and implement other projects as assigned.

 

 

Qualifications

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering or related courses.
  • Black Belt certified or above.
  • 10 years Operations and Supply chain management experience.
  • Proven communication and coordination skills and able to influence and motivate others.
  • Solid understanding of business issues,metrics and customer values.
  • High passion for excellence, and strong execution for action.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.
  • Effective interpersonal skills of dealing with people at various levels and at various functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively drive change.
  • Strong analysis capability and strong statistical background.
  • Finance knowledge of manufacturing cost structure.
  • Minitab proficiency.
  • Effective English written skills and oral English.
