Job Description
Avery Dennison Identification Solutions group is seeking a Quality Analyst to join their Miamisburg Team! The Quality Analyst is responsible for the administration, troubleshooting, and improvement of the Quality Management System Requirements Under ISO 9001:2015 as listed below. The Quality Analyst is responsible for maintaining the databases related to document control, training, and corrective actions held with the electronic QSI and the QSI replacement system. We will be replacing our doc control and training system (QSI) and this role will play a key role that will support that transition at the site. This role is the primary Document Control Leader, Quality Training Leader,and Corrective Action Leader at the site. The Quality Analyst will provide full time on-site support to our manufacturing site and will maintain the databases held within the QSI & replacement system and work to ensure correct and on time completion of work concerning document control, training, and corrective actions (including supplier corrective actions). The Quality Analyst will be a part of the internal audit process and also support sites with on-site external audit support. The Quality Analyst will report to the Quality Manager. The scope will include ISO 9001:2015, FSC and MAQMSR.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the maintenance, updating and control of the document control database in QSI and replacement systems.
Responsible for updating document authors and managers as positions change.
Responsible for document revisions, creations, reviews, retention and distribution control under the divisional Paper distribution record process.
Responsible for tracking and trending on time document review and revision completion.
Responsible for the maintenance of the training database including creation of training profiles, editing and creating training job titles, required document training, archiving and retention of training files.
Responsible for tracking and trending on time training completion.
Responsible for providing group or onsite training when required including initial quality onboarding of core ISO training.
Responsible for the maintenance, updating and control of the corrective actions database.
Responsible for providing access and training to site users in the CAR database.
Responsible for routing CARs assigned to the sites to the appropriate reviewer and tracking for thorough and on time completion of CARs and CALs.
Drive improvements to the quality system that ensures its suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.
Responsible for basic troubleshooting and communication of any higher level QM system issues to the Divisional Quality Team and or IT for resolution.
Provide support for customer certificates of analysis.
Maintain and evaluate the site's corrective action program through the issuing and evaluation of corrective actions.
Responsible for the transfer of QM system knowledge to the site users.
Participate in special projects/functions including, but not limited to: QM system projects, CLP/CPMO reduction projects, etc.
Provide operational support related to issue resolution, product quality/risk assessment and product disposition.
Submit Supplier SCAR’s for nonconforming material and assist with disposition of materials associated with this process
Provide management of document control, calibration, corrective and preventative action, non-conforming material, deviations and supplier quality processes.
Generate and provide quality metrics for management review.
Update quality lab test methods as necessary through knowledge and/or research.
The QA will also support all initiatives and goals established by the Divisional Quality leadership team.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Travel: Up to 10% travel
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree or equivalent preferred. Consideration may be given for commensurate experience working in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
0-3 years technical experience needed; 2 years experience in Quality or similar fields preferred
Basic knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015 (specifically document control, training and corrective actions)
Ability to track, trend and monitor the completion of actions on time from multiple groups and sites.
Able to actively contribute in a team based environment, as well as effectively work with various functions and levels within the organization. Encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal.
Have a strong customer service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take the initiative to understand the root cause then communicate/educate the team in a timely manner.
Demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Googlesuite, Oracle and AODocs preferred
Strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instructions
Experience handling multiple responsibilities with minimal direction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Certified Auditor or Certified Quality Analyst preferred
