Job Description

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Lead the business in exceeding objectives, including all elements of the P&L.

  • Assist in developing and implementing long-term Sales and Marketing strategies that are geared towards developing greater market share and profitability at a country level.

  • Develop Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures (OGSM) for assigned areas and confirm linkage to global business strategies.

  • Achieve maximum levels of productivity, ensuring that the business benefits from the lowest possible cost and best value.

  • Responsible for clear, focused leadership to further reduce the barriers to delivering competitive advantage via global size and scale.

  • Actively engage in utilizing company best practices to increase efficiency and profitability.

  • Actively engage in translating best practices in the areas of revenue growth, customer service excellence, organization design and development, cost modeling and developing superior customer relationships to delight them with our service and delivery.

  • Responsible for delivery of short-term and long-term results in order to develop and maintain the organization’s credibility with the business and creating opportunities to add greater value to the business.

  • Translate market trends and customer needs into actionable goals that create competitive advantage.

  • Partner with the regional functional Leadership team to ensure alignment with the local and regional Strategic plans and create a culture that drives success locally and regionally for Avery Dennison.

  • Support the sales/commercial teams on developing a pipeline of growth opportunities.

  • Act as a team role model and change-agent.

  • Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.

  • Coordinate team efforts, implement strategy and team operating plan. 

  • Be the champion of Values & Ethics of the company and lead the Business Conduct Guidelines from the front

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of related business experience with a strong commercial background

  • Preferably an MBA degree

  • Experience of leading successful commercial teams 

  • Strong experience in strategic leadership 

  • International experience within a multinational would be an advantage

  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization and successfully navigate through it to create a solid team

  • Possess leadership, mentoring, training and project management experience and skills.

  • Demonstrated success in cross-regional projects or initiatives.

  • Strong experience in successfully negotiating with large/major contracts.

  • Advanced business and financial acumen with sound understanding of P&L.

  • Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.

  • Ability to champion new business ventures.  This will require excellent organizational and people skills, project management skills with an ability to openly convey information to team members in a timely and concise manner.

  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with a prominent leadership presence
