In this diverse role within our matrix organization, we are hiring an energized, inclusive, and forward-thinking HR Specialist - Employee Experience EMEA to join our global Workforce Operations Team in Germany (remote working and some traveling of around 5-10%) with a direct reporting line to our Global Workforce Operations (GWO) Director - Northern & Central Europe based in the U.K.

Your mission:

  • Become an expert: Be the virtual go-to HR contact for our Northern European hub, with a special focus on our German manufacturing and commercial sites (Oldenburg, Löhne, Schwelm, Reichshof-Wehnrath, Gotha, Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Erlangen).
  • Streamline processes: Ensure smooth HR processes: from data updates and onboarding to policy guidance.
  • Master the tools: Become a PeopleSoft pro and keep data flowing seamlessly.
  • Deliver exceptional support: Provide top-notch support through our case management system (ServiceNow/ad.a): answer questions, solve problems, and escalate when needed.
  • Empower employees: Educate our workforce about available HR services and self-service tools.
  • Drive improvement: Continuously identify outdated processes and champion positive change.
  • Shape the future: Collaborate on exciting projects that will define the future of HR at Avery Dennison.

Qualifications

What we expect from you! - Your Expertise:

Your superpowers:

  • HR experience: You have 1+ years of HR experience or relevant internships.
  • Tech-savvy: You're a quick learner with new systems (especially Oracle HR, PeopleSoft and ServiceNow).
  • Prioritization: You have a knack for prioritization and escalation.
  • Discretion: You exercise sound judgment in handling confidential information.
  • Communication: You have excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
  • Passion for service: You're dedicated to delivering exceptional service and positive employee experiences.
  • Can-do attitude: You have a drive for continuous improvement and a can-do attitude.

Bonus points:

  • Specialized experience: You have experience in payroll, benefits, or performance management.
  • Project management: You have project management skills.
