Job Description

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for assisting with internal and external financial reporting activities, including assistance in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports, and account reconciliation and analysis.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • This person will primarily work remotely, but will be in-person at our Azusa, CA site for 1 full week each quarter.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and analysis for portions of SEC filings (10-Qs, 10-Ks, 8-Ks Proxies and Annual Reports), including preparation of footnotes and/or MD&A disclosures.
  • Analyze and review data submitted by divisions/business units for quarterly consolidated financial reporting, including account fluctuation analysis.
  • Utilize Hyperion Financial Management system to support external and internal reporting requirements.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors and provide them supporting documentation for financial statements and footnote disclosures, and respond to their inquiries.
  • Monitor and account for the company’s various exit plan programs, including tracking spend and follow up with local finance teams.
  • Assist in special projects such as acquisition support, technical research, and government reporting.
  • Administer access and periodic updates to the company’s financial policies.
  • Assist in the documentation/update of department Sarbanes-Oxley 404 (SOX) processes, including preparation of supporting documents for SOX walkthroughs and testing.
  • Support various SOX activities, including performing quality control review of select in-scope SOX sites and testing of internal controls.
  • Support other annual government survey reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Must be located in southern California.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or financial reporting preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • CPA or candidate for CPA
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Word)
  • Strong organization/time management skills, attention to details
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment meeting deadline requirements often with multiple deliverables to different reviewers
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $79.575 - $132,625 / year.


The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting.
