Job Description

The Global Inventory Manager will be responsible for the design and execution of inventory policies and inventory health across all the ADS sites. In this role, you’ll design and deploy planning & fulfillment initiatives leveraging best practices and solutions with the objective of improving our customer’s on time delivery, lead-time, forecast accuracy and finished goods inventory turns.

Responsibilities

  • Primary accountability for the finished products and raw materials inventory globally and for achieving their budget objectives for inventory turns
  • Design and deploy strategic initiatives and process improvement projects, aligned with the company operations strategy, for improving Inventory position and minimizing the E&O inventory
  • Implement and oversee inventory and planning & fulfillment performance metrics and KPIs by working closely with colleagues in sites responsible for data mining and performance monitoring tools
  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives for optimizing customer on-time delivery, lead-time and inventory; Use Lean 6 Sigma tools whenever applicable and collaborate with other functions within the end-to-end supply chain
  • Inventory analysis - Be the go-to person for inventory-related questions. Identify and proactively communicate inventory risks and opportunities to partners during the monthly process and push for corrective actions.
  • Coach and provide training to the local units in developing detailed gap analyses across the organization and provide solutions to reach expected customer service levels at optimized inventory levels by utilizing L6S and Value Stream Mapping and Planning and Fulfillment best practices
  • Coach and lead the deployment of inventory management best practices globally and in the region and ensure all business units’ adherence to inventory management processes and guidelines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business or Engineering or Business required with a minimum of 10 years of experience in planning or inventory management roles; MBA Degree would be a plus
  • Sound knowledge of inventory optimization
  • Must possess strong collaboration skills, with the ability to establish and implement best practices, preferably across multiple manufacturing plants
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills are required with ability to coach and develop a planning team is required
  • High degree of commitment, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, facilitate meetings and influence others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, while recognizing and addressing systemic issues.
  • Self-motivated, results driven individual with a proven track record of process implementation.
