Job Description

• Analyze and verify internal consistency, completeness and mathematical accuracy of accounting documents; make adjustments, as necessary.
• Assign prescribed accounting distribution codes.
• Perform account reconciliation; troubleshoot and analyze discrepancies.
• Responsible in preparing, adjusting and closing journal entries.
• Audit, review and verify accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions. (ie Customer Service, Procurement, Warehouse, etc)
• Assist with the preparation of year-end closings. Assist in the preparation of working papers for audits.
• May assist in preparing monthly and annual consolidated statements.
• Preparation of the VAT and other local taxes for Spain
• Assist on Tax Return Declaration
• Ensuring compliance with all accounting standards and fiscal legislation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economy or related field.
• 2-4 years accounting & taxes
• Understands the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of accounting and general ledger.
• Very good analytical skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles are essential.
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Italian
• Very good IT knowledge, in particular Excel
• Nice to have – Oracle knowledge
