Job Description

The position is for a Sr. IT Project Manager who can work on next-generation customer-facing  projects. The ideal candidate must have at least 7+ years of experience as a project manager handling eCommerce projects.


 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects

  • Strategize with the project team to forecast problems, assess potential risks and solutions, and plan alternatives.  Coordinate the recovery of projects that are struggling or failing.  Identify and share new approaches to reduce project implementation timeline and cost of project development.

  • Develop budget for project(s) and keep within budget.

  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. 

  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. 

  • Identify & resolve issues proactively and balancing schedule, scope, and cost constraints creatively.

  • Manage interpersonal dynamics within project teams (e.g., building consensus among sub-project owners, negotiating any changes to the project plan, and holding team members accountable for delivery on commitments made).

  • Ensure teams meet or exceed anticipated project benefits on time, within budget, and with the desired level of quality.

  • Work effectively with internal and external clients, third party vendors, and senior management in accomplishing project objectives.

  • Manage risks and interdependencies, within a project and across projects; mitigate risks, and drive issues to resolution through effective project governance

  • Setup and facilitate effective project governance and stakeholder communications

  • Advise IT senior management concerning IT issues and their impact to the corporation's business strategy

  • Manage projects through the entire lifecycle - planning, managing schedules, identifying and managing risks & issues, clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders, tracking and reporting

  • Collaborate with development to identify resourcing requirements.

  • Develop, maintain and distribute - project plan, project schedule, project budget & variances, issues & action items log, communication plans, meeting minutes, risks assessment and mitigation plans

  • Partner with internal and external development teams across all tracks to deliver on time and with the quality required.

  • Ensuring that solutions being deployed are adequately supported through knowledge transfer to the support team by the Development team

  • Ensure Change and Configuration database management are maintained

  • Participate in developing scope and business case for the project phases

  • Provide financial reports as needed - including forecast, fiscal month end reports/accruals

  • Provide periodical progress reports and updates to stakeholders

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Information Systems or Software Engineering

  • PMP certification is desirable 

  • 10+ years of overall experience

  • 7+ years of IT project management experience

  • 2 - 3 B2B IT project implementations experience

  • Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals.

  • Understanding of software development life cycle.

  • Project experience with Oracle products like Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC), Configure Price Quote (CPQ), Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle Subscription Cloud, Oracle Fusion, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is a plus

  • Team player with strong leading, communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams in a matrix environment to ensure successful delivery of solutions

  • Excellent communications skill including written, verbal, and presentation skills and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people clearly and concisely

  • Proven Competencies in Risk Assessment/Management, Time Management, Conflict Management, Leadership, and Communications

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, yet cooperatively and manage a global team Detail oriented and have a strong commitment to excellence, attention to detail, high accountability, ownership, responsiveness, strong customer service focus and continual improvement mindset

  • Ability to travel as needed 

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule 

 

Travel Requirement:

  • This role may also include travel, both domestic and international.
