• This position involves supporting the ERP Oracle suite of modules and related technologies, applications, and interfaces. The successful candidate will work with functional business analysts, business process owners, and other technical team members for a given requirement or process. The candidate will be responsible for executing requirements and design specifications into developed deliverables.

• Designing, developing, tuning, and testing enterprise application extensions and interfaces.

• Writing maintainable application code which effectively and efficiently implements business requirements.

• Participating in the development and enhancement of existing and new core business systems.

• Maintaining software through review and modification of existing code.

• Taking ownership of problems and dealing with them effectively to ensure prompt resolution.

• Serving as a liaison with staff to analyze and debug system failures.

• Participating in testing of newly developed software components.

• Developing and/or maintaining operational documentation for new programs as well as modifications to existing programs.

• Enforcing and adhering to departmental and application development standards and policies.

• Partner with the functional groups within the IT organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-range system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs. Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost versus benefit measurements; broker other IT services; and communicate trends and requirements to and from customers and IT. 

• Provide expertise within assigned projects, in the analysis, design, development and integration between business applications.

• Analyze and document business requirements and design or recommend cost effective solutions. 

• Support the development team in creating new and maintaining existing applications using standard programming languages and development methodologies.

• Develop and execute test plans that ensure systems and application integrity and quality.

• Develop documentation for all relevant changes / enhancements

• Develop and maintain credibility and effective working relations with both customer management and IT personnel in a way that demonstrates an understanding of business problems, as well as IT strategies, issues, and priorities. 

• Be responsible for the overall implementation and execution of project and performance criteria; maintain full knowledge of all phases of business-specific technology implementations.

• Broker services within the IT community on behalf of customers; coordinate multi-system solutions to clarify interdependencies so that systems appear seamless to customers.

• Modifies and maintains complex applications using the defined Systems Development Life Cycle.

• Prioritize and manage multiple projects. Assign specific tasks and lead projects (plan, delegate, follow through). Determine resources, actions and timelines for projects. Make recommendations to terminate a project due to feasibility issues.

• Instructs, directs, and reviews the work of other staff members.

• 8+ years of large scale ERP Oracle EBS Application Development experience.

• Broad knowledge of core technical constructs and accompanying functional modules of large scale ERP Oracle EBS software.

• In depth knowledge of application organization and underlying data structure. Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Forms, SAP ABAP, Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher, Shell scripting, FTP, Oracle extensions and BI Publisher, performance tuning.

• Experience integrating ERP Applications with various formats including flat-file (CSV), XML, REST, and SOAP.

• Experience with Oracle Application Framework (OAF) and Approvals Management (AME) - a plus.

• Experience with source code management systems.

• Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows, Linux and AIX.

• Working knowledge of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical business and software systems.

• Strong interpretative skills to understand and relate design requirements.

• Good root cause analysis skills.

• Excellent verbal, active listening, and written communications skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to conduct research into development issues, techniques, and methodologies.
