We are excited to look for an IT Sourcing & Vendor Manager to join our global IT Sourcing and Vendor Management team (ITSVM) at Avery Dennison! In this position, you will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate deal terms, review and draft contract terms, obtain approvals, and provide relationship and performance management for key IT vendors. You will have the autonomy to manage your assigned portfolio from initial concept/planning and vendor selection to contract closeout and vendor off-boarding). You will be known as a subject matter expert, and an inspiring leader, and you will need to excel at building strong relationships with internal partners as well as vendors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Strategizes, develops, and is accountable for managing a portfolio of IT sourcing/procurement matters and strategic IT vendor relationships
• Balances time between managing sourcing/procurement matters, vendor management activities, and strategic initiatives, with work performed without appreciable direction
• Contributes to the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization
• Partners with team members and clients across Avery Dennison’s global enterprise 
• Provides subject matter expertise, including developing sourcing and procurement strategies and obtaining support from key clients
• Manages communications with vendors, customers, internal reviewers, and finance teams
• Reviews and drafts contract language, negotiates deal terms, manages contract approvals, and creates and/or approves order documentation (SOWs, POs, Requisitions, etc).
• Facilitates post-execution contract management, including: maintaining the contract system of record, providing proactive renewal/obligation notifications, analyzing problem areas, and helping resolve disputes
• Supports Vendor Management Office (VMO) objectives, enabling a consistent approach to implement vendor management practices across the organization
• Performs ad hoc duties when required

• 6+ years of relevant experience in IT sourcing and vendor management in a global organization
• Bachelor’s degree in business, or technology. MBA or JD degree preferred
• Experience developing sourcing strategies, drafting and negotiating IT contracts, and managing vendor relationships
• Strong business acuity and understanding of enterprise IT
• Demonstrated ability to be an advisor, influence others at all levels of the organization, present to senior leadership, and build strong, sustainable relationships
• Strong sense of personal accountability and business partnership
• Project and process management skills, with the ability to handle multiple vendors, projects and a wide range of tasks
• Willingness to travel as required, an estimated 10%
