Job Description
To perform work at the highest functional/technical level. To be an individual contributor to the design, development, integration with, maintenance and enhancement of Avery Dennison’s financial systems, providing specialized technical/functional or business knowledge to projects. Incumbents act as internal consultants, providing technical guidance or business process expertise on the most complex projects or researching strategic planning matters from a technical or business standpoint.
To have project leadership responsibilities for small projects or subprojects. To share responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery.
To assist in the financial systems integration of new business acquisitions and the rollout of OracleR12 and related applications / Bolt on to existing Avery businesses.
To assist in the integration of new business acquisitions into the Avery Dennison Financial & support model.
Qualifications
JOB PURPOSE
Standard working day 6pm to 2.30am IST (in order to provide support to US & Mex customer base - 8.30am to 5.00pm EDT)
Role is based out of Gurgaon / Pune or Bangalore. The position can be done virtually, from a home office or from any virtual location with reliable Internet (due to regular verbal customer and team interaction required a dedicated quiet space is imperative).
Attendance will be required in the WDC office on an ad hoc basis
Analysts will also be required to adopt a flexible working pattern to meet the requirements of the Global Team.
Regular international travel will be required (USA once per quarter for a week & EU once per year for a week) - Candidates with US business visa preferred.
JOB PURPOSE
Provide a high level of Customer Service to stakeholders, by resolving issues raised are addressed in a timely, courteous manner ensuring minimal interruption of service for the applications you support.
Provide a quality service ensuring adherence / compliance to Avery Dennison's controls (SOX, Internal Audit, External Audit etc), policies, processes & procedures.
Provide troubleshooting support for existing applications (OracleR12 & various Bolt-on applications).
Provide expertise within assigned projects, in the analysis, design, development and integration between business applications.
Analyze and document business requirements and design or recommend cost effective solutions.
Develop new and maintain existing applications using standard programming languages and development methodologies.
Develop and execute test plans that ensure systems and application integrity and quality.
Develop documentation for all relevant changes / enhancements
Stay abreast of new trends in development tools and techniques.
Assist in developing and maintaining corporate standards for applications development.
Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating / identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.

Strong functional/technical knowledge, with hands-on experience supporting OracleR12 financials

Background & Experience:
Essential
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience and technical training, is required.
OracleR12 Financials support - Five to ten years of experience in OracleR12 Financials modules support (resolving incidents and change requests)
Oracle business application design - Four to six years of experience of Oracle business application design, integration, installation, upgrade and modification
Understanding of Financial and Accounting practices
Experience also required and certification desired in the following disciplines:
Oracle Fusion (Finance modules)
SQL / SQR / Query Tool
eGate, MQ Series or other middleware
EDI
Advanced Excel / Advanced Google
Incident Management Tools such as ServiceNow or similar technology
Desirable
Financial qualification.
Test Management Tools such as HPQC or similar technology
Change Management Tools such as Flexdeploy or similar technology
