Job Description

About the Role:
The Maintenance Engineer is  responsible for all Maintenance and upkeep related activities (Electrical Instrumentation and Civil repair) for Equipment and Machinery in the entire plant including Coating Plant, Finishing Block, Utilities and infrastructure in the plant.

The incumbent shall be responsible for meeting KPI on Equipment Uptime, MTTR, MTBF, Utility Operations and Maintenance, Repair and Maintenance cost, Power and Fuel cost. Local Capital planning and execution Statutory Compliance. He shall also be responsible for drive improvement projects on Safety Productivity, Energy saving and managing Maintenance spares store.

Responsibilities:

  • Set targets and ensure compliance to the same in order to meet plant KPI
  • Rich experience  of Installation & commissioning on Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Proface, Parker, Rockwell PLC, SCADA & drives
  • Hands on experience on Latest Communication protocols of industrial controls (Profibus, Profinet, Industrial Ethernet etc)
  • Tuning of drives, calibration of pump curves for speed vs flow rate, calibration of flow meters
  • Individually handling automation & control part of all the projects and integrating all 3rd party components through profinet protocol
  • Should be well versed with Simatic S7, Wincc software’s for developing programs for PLC’s & HMI display units
  • Set objectives, provide direction and support his team to deliver world class performance in Equipment uptime, MTBF, MTTR, PM and Calibration compliance, and Maintenance cost, Power and Fuel cost, Energy saving and Safety.
  • Ensure good Maintenance practices are in place, anticipate and manage through adversity, effectively Incorporate improvement programs into the culture of the Plant.
  • Practice all environments. health and safety procedures and make safety a top priority.
  • Drive continuous improvement to optimize R&M and Energy cost and productivity improvements.
  • Understand and implement ISO procedures and ensure continual compliance to the requirements of the standards in the production department,
  • Work with cross functional team like Coating, Finishing, Projects, Process, Quality to deliver on plant performance
  • Work with HR to build a positive employee relations & Industrial relations culture
  • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance

Qualifications

Qualifications

Minimum – Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, Electronic Engineer

Must have: 

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Maintenance of Medium to large size plants..
  • Exposure to utility maintenance & special purpose machines
