Job Description
At Avery Dennison we are looking for an enthusiastic Procurement Manager - Logistics to join our Indirect EMEA Procurement team in Oegstgeest, the Netherlands.
The Procurement Manager - Logistics should enhance total value obtained from the Freight and Logistics supply base by leading innovation, standardization and carrier rationalization across the region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). In this role you will be responsible for managing the strategic direction of regional and international freight and logistics procurement and ensuring harmonization of policies and procedures; you will work closely with regional stakeholders to align on business objectives to deliver value and cost savings. In addition the Procurement Manager - Logistics is responsible for negotiating commercial terms and implementing procurement agreements with carriers.

You will report directly to the Regional Procurement Director and will be based out of our European Headquarters in Oegstgeest, the Netherlands.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work in partnership with the Supply Chain and Commercial organization to translate market needs into multi-year roadmaps that deliver innovation, differentiation, and competitive advantage - while at the same time securing the most competitive commercial and service conditions
- Improve cooperation across geographic and organizational boundaries by identifying barriers and working with regional transportation managers, supply chain Director and also with Global logistics Procurement manager to eliminate barriers.
- Conduct carrier analysis, evaluate potential new carriers, and manage the overall carrier qualification process, as required
- Drive Global Freight Procurement's initiatives at the regional level and ensure implementation of and compliance with negotiated contracts and service level agreements.
- Initiate and manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs and related project plans as required.
- Support procure-to-pay process improvements within category area
Qualifications
- Education on an academic level (Master degree or Bachelor degree) in a relevant discipline f.e. Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
- 3+ year(s) of demonstrated success working in a similar role within an international, fast-paced industrial environment (knowledge of industry/Market in EMEA Region is preferred) preferably in freight procurement.
- Additional experience in logistics, supply chain management, strategic sourcing or other areas of procurement a plus.
- Independent thinker, with a methodical and enthusiastic approach to work
- Strong relationship building & stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English
- Excellent computer skills: proficiency in Google Workspace and excel is preferred
