Job Description

Purpose - To ensure smooth day to day operation for Freight Audit Process. This role includes team management and communication with internal & external stakeholders.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  1. Good knowledge of import & export documentation, shipping operation related to inbound & outbound shipments

  2. Coordinate with freight forwarders to clear the goods and shipments

  3. Contracts finalization & negotiation with CHA, Transporter and freight forwarder

  4. Checks and verifies Freight Forwarder's invoices for both imports & exports with contracts, obtains approval from respective department Head and forwards these to Finance for payment.

  5. Work closely with forwards for getting their invoices on time.

  6. Timely processing of bills, month end provisions and complete accounting

  7. Handling various INCOTERMS like FOB, CIF, DDP, DDU, Demurrage/Detention etc.

  8. Support to all departmental team members and to resolve their issues in daily operations.

  9. Awareness & to educate the functional team regarding inward/outward supplies under e-way bills.

  10. Provides details & resolves queries coming from Internal and external Audits.

  11. Keeping track of all government policies of India and countries we are dealing with for EXIM.

  12. Monthly Reports / Dashboards / MIS sharing with management on monthly basis for freight process

 

Requirements -

 

  1. Minimum 3 to 4 Years (for MBA), 4 to 5 years (for Non-MBA)  experience in handling clearing & forwarding, and dealings with customs.

  2. Experience working in a Shared service organisation will be an added advantage.

  3. Knowledge of prevailing customs and international trade rules & regulations.

  4. Knowledge of imports & exports procedures, customs/ bank/insurance documentations and formalities.

  5. Knowledge of logistics and freight industry.

  6. Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.

  7. Knowledge of packaging products for shipping/delivery.

  8. Knowledge of GST & Withholding Tax.

  9. Good communication , presentation & interpersonal skills

  10. Comfortable working in the Morning shift ( 6 am to 3 pm).

  11. Task & Time Oriented  

Qualifications

Graduation

Candidates with a degree in Import & Export Management will be preferred.
