To be successful in your role, you will do the following:
Partner with leadership to align on North America Regional priorities, reflecting the collective view of our workforce
Collaborate with our businesses and functions to develop a cohesive DE&I strategy, with the entire HR organization being a key partner
Represent the North America region as the Action Office regional leader, responsible for the execution of the DE&I strategy and coordination actions within the region and ensure best practice sharing globally.
Deliver awareness programs (e.g. unconscious bias, courageous conversations, inclusive leadership) to foster a more inclusive culture across the region
Serve as a resource to the North America D&I Councils, supporting the growth and development of Employee Resource Groups
Develop, influence and support an internal network of D&I advocates
Partner with our Communications team to ensure connected and engaging messaging internally and externally
Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to drive accountability, measure progress and prioritize initiatives which support our strategy
Engage externally to ensure we are benchmarking best practice
Ensure a regional supplier diversity program, in partnership with sourcing teams
Partner with CSR to ensure our D&I initiatives are connected to our overall CSR strategy
*Location of the role is flexible, but you must work from a key Avery Dennison site in North America.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in a business function (HR other) within a corporate environment
Experience leading a corporate Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) strategy, driving key D&I initiatives and/or facilitating D&I-related sessions, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Proven track record in project management, change management and execution
Experience connecting with - and influencing - all levels of the organization: from plant level to C-suite
Track record of building relationships with strength in facilitating dialogue, listening and representing diverse perspectives
Proven analytical skills with ability to draw insights
Ability to articulate a business case with proof‐points of working cohesively
Persuasive communicator with a demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, encourage and inspire others
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
