The Fastener Solutions business unit of Avery Dennison is a worldwide manufacturer of plastic fastening systems used in the automotive, apparel, retail, industrial and packaging industries. Our three-shift injection molding and extrusion operation is located in Fitchburg, MA. Fastener Solutions is ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified.
Activities may include, but are not limited to:
Operate and maintain all processing and material handling equipment within the plastic extrusion process.
Follow process procedures or instructions from Team Leaders.
Actively and constructively partner with line inspectors and line packers to ensure quality and productivity goals are met on each shift.
Monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production specifications.
Set-up machines require a high level of precision and the interaction of multiple variables.
Load raw materials, determine and manage machine controls and unload finished products.
Perform routine tests and check products for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.
Document and escalate any malfunctions or abnormalities of equipment.
Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
Order lengths may be of short, medium or long duration requiring frequent change in set up and variation in cycle, adjusts set up and process operations accordingly.
Continuously review current processes and search out improvement methods to improve product/process quality and reduce waste or rework in the process.
WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three years of experience in extrusion and/or injection molding
Possess or acquire within specified timing any licensures necessary to perform job.
Adaptive, flexible, self-directed and able to handle ambiguity.

Strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instruction.
Able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
