Are you a seasoned front line supervisor?  Can you drive results in safety, quality and service performance, while promoting a positive and engaged work environment?  If you are a dynamic team player with Lean Manufacturing experience and you have the ability to foster teamwork through diversity and inclusion, this opportunity may be for you!  The Neenah Finishing Center of Avery Dennison, located in Neenah, WI, is looking for a 2nd shift production team manager (2pm-10pm). This position reports to the Finishing Center Manager and provides a vision, leadership, and direction to the third shift team members in all aspects of safety, quality, service, productivity and cost saving objectives.  The Team Manager will make safety the first priority, drive accountability, foster employee development, and lead with a collaborative mindset.  

The responsibilities of this position are, but not limited to:

Employee Development & Management:
•Set clear expectations, provide training, feedback and coaching, and hold each team member accountable for performance expectations, along with conducting periodic performance reviews.
•Monitor and evaluate team members performance and development needs, and adjust training where needed.
•Model and promote the Corporation''s Code of Business Ethics and Values. 
•Interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.
•Maintain all timekeeping, overtime and vacation records and schedules.
•Act as a team role model and change-agent. Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual shift, site and overall business goals.
•Manage staffing to meet business needs, as well as create cross-training opportunities for team members.

Operations:
•Responsible for key operational measures within the business unit (safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost).
•Communicate daily activities to other shifts and site counterparts.
•Monitor work and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, controls load factors and flow of work to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment. 
•Collaborate with teams to design and implement operations improvement strategies for safety, cost, quality, training, inventory, and services.
•Provide prompt problem solving for key issues.
•Ensure standards are followed and continuous improvement processes are in place for sustained business improvements.
•Ensure that Safety and Housekeeping efforts are supported, and “5S” processes are sustained.
•Participate in and/or lead projects targeted at workmanship, quality, safety and other process improvements.
•Maintain metric boards & ensure team members understand key metrics and their impact on them
•Ensure that the team delivers the required products, services, and information to maximize throughput and productivity.
•Ensure the work teams are developed and capable of self-management on daily issues, and of meeting work standards.
•Spend majority of each day on the “Floor” to stay informed about daily work issues, provide support, and help the work teams focus on the business results.
•Ensure the team understands, adopts and contributes to site improvement efforts.
•Maintain quality control processes to ensure products/services meet quality standards; lead implementation of process improvements.
•Lead the efforts to create a safety conscious environment; be actively involved in safety initiatives. 
•Collaborate with other functional areas to resolve problems and develop improved manufacturing processes. Make efforts to reduce manufacturing waste and process complexity.

Qualifications

·Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field and/or 5+ years operational experience, team leader experience preferred. 
·Skilled in analyzing and drawing information for daily operational needs and improvement for the team.
·Skilled in scheduling and planning, budgeting and control.  
·Strong ability to manage, coach and develop a diverse team of individuals performing a variety of tasks.
·Experience leading continuous improvement efforts.  Familiarity with ELS Operating Principles.
·Strong customer focus
·Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills. Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions and take appropriate action.
·Strong computer skills
