Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Data scientist looking for that next challenge in their career to define an entire data architecture and to roll up your sleeves to implement it. This pivotal role will be part of a new team focused on accelerating our data science strategy. In this role, you will partner with the entire RBIS organization on their journey towards Digitalization across Products, Manufacturing, and Customer Experience.
You will play a key role in driving Business transformation and deliver value through continuous improvements in productivity, service and customer excellence as well as advancing the required analytical skills of the organization on our journey in becoming a digital company.
We are looking for a candidate to join our Digital Platform team to help us establish, build, and deliver a Data Strategy that unlocks the information hidden in vast amounts of data. This role is critical in building the foundation of our business around data to unlock new ways of manufacturing products, new ways of engineering products, and new ways of interacting with customers. Your primary focus will be in establishing a unified data strategy across IOT, ERP, and Sales, understanding the processes and problems our customers are facing, using your analytical mindset to gather and dig into relevant data, research, train, test models and modeling techniques suitable to solving the problem, and delivering results back to the business in a tangible and coherent way.
2020/21 main goals will be to establish a benchmark of data and insights from IOT devices for Factory 4.0.
Responsibilities Include:
Solutioning
Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems, enabler problem solving investigation
Process, clean and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
Research, train, and test models including feature selection, building and optimizing classifiers, predictive using machine learning techniques
Innovation
Identify improvements to current processes and investigate future opportunities to the various functions in the organisation
Support strategic efforts to engage the wider organization in this space
Partnership
Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with our key business users to support increasing use of data science to improve operational and financial performance
Deliver results in a partnering and collaborative style by influence stakeholders
Manage testing cycles
Provide training and coaching services to key users on the built solutions.
Doing ad-hoc analysis as required and presenting results in a clear manner
Qualifications
Qualifications
Pursuing a Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree (required) in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent degree with a data science focus is required.
Experience with at least one of the following: Python, R, Snowflake, DataBricks, etc.
Familiarity around common packages for data wrangling/munging, testing/analysis, and visualizations
Excellent applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, statistical modeling, etc.
Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
Excellent communication and partnering skills within a matrix organization
English is mandatory, Mandarin is a strong plus
You have the ability to multi-task and you can manage multiple projects at the same time
Open for travelling at a minimum of 50% of your time
Nice to haves: Exposure to Business Intelligence tools (Oracle BI, Cognos, Qlik, etc.), Six Sigma Certification (Greenbelt / Blackbelt),
