Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Finance Analyst to join the Performance Tapes organization in North America (PT-NA). This role will execute FP&A activities for North America, as well as support the NA commercial organization by providing timely analytics regarding the division’s top line performance. In this role, the successful candidate will strive for continuous improvement in the division’s financial analysis tools, capabilities and reporting, controls, and ensure all reporting timelines are met. This person will take the lead on all Commercial Reporting, process improvement initiatives and report standardization.

In this important role you will also be responsible for:

  • Complete month end close activities, and drive SOX compliance by ensuring accurate, timely and documented processes procedures.
  • Handle all daily and monthly reporting and scorecards for the commercial organization (top line financial results).
  • Drive improvements to current reports, and work with the finance and Commercial organization to identify and implement improvements to existing processes/reporting or develop new reports as needed to run the business.
  • Own data integrity of Business Intelligence tools and partner with IT, Finance and the Commercial teams to drive accurate and relevant financial information to the business.
  • Provide support to the IHM Finance Leadership team by developing FP&A and Commercial reporting tools that could be used across businesses.
  • Support Sr. FP&A Commercial Analyst and Sr. Finance Manager for PT-NA in any ad hoc analysis needed.

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting/Finance is required.
  • 2-5 years of financial analysis experience is required.
  • Excellent ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong business partnership and problem-solving acuity.
  • Strong Excel skills, and experience in building financial analysis
  • Able to handle contending demands and complicated timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Strong follow-up skills and organization.
  • Strong work ethic and initiative, with an interest in developing within the organization.
  • Computer proficiencies in Excel, Access, etc. Strong systems knowledge.
  • Cognos (IBM), MfgPro, Oracle experience is a plus.
