Job Description
Avery Dennison is seeking a Product Manager to join the Industrial and Healthcare Materials organization supporting our Performance Tapes business in North America (PTNA). In this position, you will support Marketing, Sales, and Business Development by being responsible for leading the P&L for a select product portfolio (General Industrial and Print & Packaging) and developing and executing pricing strategies for the assigned products to optimize growth and profitability. You will contribute to the development of strategic and annual operating plans and lead efforts of a cross-functional team efforts to meet evolving customer and market needs. You will assist in the development and implementation of key segment communication plans including product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training, PR, advertising, website, on-line marketing material etc.

In addition to the above, you will be responsible for:
- Lead execution of multi-generation product plans including: new product introductions and line extensions, product re-engineering and cost out, product promotions, data sheets, selling sheets, training and other sales tools and communication of product and service program changes.
- Participate in external events and end user calls/visits to understand market insights and trends and ensure our strategies are aligned to meet future needs.
- Collaborate with sales force and regional segment managers to support growth and/or product development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sales in the development/implementation of service strategies & programs for assigned product line.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor degree in business, marketing, finance, or equivalent required.
- A minimum of 3 years validated commercial/business experience required. Previous experience leading a technical product line with demonstrated growth and performance or related commercial experience a plus.
- Ability to generate support and excitement among an informal, cross-functional team in a matrixed organization.
- Good analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
- Strong financial and business insight with a consistent track record of results.
- Attested project leadership and critical thinking skills.
Preferred:
- Engineering undergraduate degree or experience working in a technical, business to business environment preferred.
- MBA strongly preferred.
- Sales experience is a plus.
- Previous expertise in solution based manufacturing or similar materials preferred.
