Job Description

Avery Dennison is seeking a Jr. Graphic Designer to join the Label and Graphic Materials Marketing organization. This role will work within The Concept Lab which consists of a small, but mighty team of designers. You will work under the supervision of a Senior Designer to produce high-quality work. This candidate will primarily be working with our Graphic Solutions business. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal commercial functions to generate projects for our digital and print presence. This position provides the opportunity to work in a thriving, creative environment with a collaborative team on a wide variety of projects. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understanding of project requirements and ideas
  • Manage your tasks and time to ensure projects are prioritized correctly and deadlines are met on time.
  • Creates designs based on creative direction established by Senior Designers and Creative Design Manager
  • Adapt and implement designs for digital and print—ensuring consistency across all creative outputs
  • Provide outstanding service to Avery Dennison’s marketing and commercial teams 
  • Work closely with marketing and communications functions to support the communication strategy, 
  • Build digital assets for email, social, and digital as well as print collateral. 
  • Planned approach to execute project requirements is essential
  • Organizes and maintains files for production and distribution

Qualifications

  • Degree in graphic design, new media or a related field preferred
  • 2 years of professional experience.
  • High skill level with the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience in a corporate environment is preferred. 
  • People skills and project management is required. 
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn and determined to drive action and execution.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.  
  • Ability to express yourself clearly and develop concrete proposals while listening and incorporating feedback from others that is sometimes vague or ambiguous.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Travel - 10%
