Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Analyst to join our team in Painesville, OH. In this role, you will focus on driving improvements to the quality system to ensure suitability, adequacy and efficiency as well as collaborate with cross functional groups to develop, implement and improve the quality management system. You will play a key role in communication with the customer on complaint resolution and corrective action. The primary responsibilities and essential functions for this position include:

  • Serve as the customers' primary point of contact for quality claims.
  • Coordinate internal and external complaint system diligently and associated communication.
  • Perform root cause analysis on complaints and assist with corrective actions.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance to ISO 9001 standards, procedures, work instructions and test methods.
  • Assist with creation of certifications of product conformance.
  • Perform laboratory tests as needed for root cause evaluation.
  • Participate in cross-functional group projects for continuous improvement, software and standard implementation and/or problem solving activities.
  • Present information and optimally connect with other functions in the organization. Use written and oral communications to present findings to teams and management.
  • Other duties as deemed vital.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Technical experience with a bachelor’s degree in a technical field is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience and technical expertise in Coating and / or Finishing department(s) may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 1-3 years meaningful quality or technical experience within a manufacturing environment would be ideal.
  • Knowledge of ISO9000 preferred.
  • Experience balancing multiple responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication with strong presentation skills.
  • Strong auditing and statistical skills are a plus.
  • Able to effectively work with various functions and levels throughout the organization.
  • Six Sigma Training is a plus.
