Job Description

The Manufacturing Platform Standardization Lead is an expert level role to lead and support the global standardization of manufacturing processes to enable improved performance.  This role serves as an improvement change agent for a designated product line production platform to manage and guide operating SOP’s, guidelines, and best practices.

The primary internal customer of the Manufacturing Platform Standardization leads are the regional and site operations leaders. The regional and site operations leaders are ultimately responsible for management of the ongoing standardization and performance within their operations.

Key responsibilities include (for designated product line platform(s)):

Manufacturing Process Standardization - implement and manage standards, SOP’s

  • Application guidelines, production methods
  • Process conditions
  • Materials
  • Production Technology

Standardization Improvement Projects - to address gaps and improve performance

  • Best practices
  • Problem solving/performance improvements
  • Other priority standardization projects

Ongoing Operational Standardization - to address gaps and improve performance

  • Metrics
  • Operating SOP’s
  • Preventive maintenance SOP’s
  • EHS and quality SOP’s adherence

The Manufacturing Product Line Standardization Lead collaborates most closely with operations, supply chain and technology colleagues in all regions. They also collaborate with other colleagues across all functions.

YOUR ONGOING WORK WILL INCLUDE:

  • Ongoing management and improvement of global SOP’s and operating guidelines
  • Ongoing collaboration and communication with colleagues and stakeholders across all regions to understand priority needs and to share standards and best practices
  • Effective project management of ongoing initiatives and supporting communications
  • Collaborating with others for ongoing support and improvement
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision
  • Using effective problem solving and application of ELS principles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or commensurate training and work experience with demonstrated technical expertise across a range of products, manufacturing processes and technologies
  • Minimum 5 years related work experience -  in manufacturing operations, technologies, process improvements, and problem solving
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with limited supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to effectively work, positively influence and collaborate with others
  • Ability to travel when required to support business
